About Us
A VOW Media initiative; She is the Story, is a social campaign that features women who have switched from being silent to being vocal. This initiative has been ongoing since 2016 and it is a medium through which we tell stories of women using multiple forms of media.
She tells her story, just the way she experiences them and not how they are supposed to be told. Through She is the Story, we attempt to unveil women’s roles in history and amplify her voice so she can create her own narrative; acknowledging that each story is unique and can only be truly conveyed by those who have lived it. She is the Story seeks to challenge and transform traditional media by authentically representing and celebrating women’s experiences, perspectives, and contributions to society.
Our Vision
She is the love that nourishes, the hands that lead many on the paths of joy and progress, and the eyes that envision a future full of beauty and possibilities, but She is lost in history with very little opportunities for her future. She is unaware of how important her contributions and stories are in bringing balance to equality. Life has existed and people have paved their journeys but the women that make journeys possible and carve the way for such exciting stories were never the lead characters, not even in their own lives.
She is the Story is our attempt to re-write history and the role that women have had in changing society for the better. Through this initiative, we strive to foster a more inclusive, equitable, and empathetic world. By sharing stories told by and about women, She is the Story inspires positive change and fosters a deeper understanding of the diverse lived experiences of everyday women.
